Bubbletop Profipack from Eduard
There is no need for extra introduction when we are talking about 1/48 Spitfire from Eduard. Kit is well-known and widely considered as the best model in this scale. Moreover, this plastic is available in every possible edition - Weekend, Profipack, Royal Class, and Limited versions. Today we have a chance to check new beautiful aircraft - Spitfire Mk.XVI "Bubbletop" in Profipack edition. We all remember that such package features some extra bonuses in form of masks and PE parts, so basically you can assemble a nice British fighter without any extra spendings. In total, there are 178 plastic parts, which should assemble into a model 202mm long and 235mm wingspan. Let's open the box and check everything closer.
Нет необходимости представлять вам линейку 1/48 Spitfire от чешской компании Eduard. Набор хорошо знаком моделистам и считается лучшей моделью в своём масштабе. Более того, пластик доступен во всех возможных вариантах - Weekend, Profipack, Royal Class и даже в ограниченных сериях. Сегодня у нас есть шанс рассмотреть модель прекрасного самолёта - Spitfire Mk.XVI "Bubbletop" в варианте Profipack. Мы все помним, что подобный вариант подразумевает дополнительные бонусы в виде травления и масок, так что в принципе можно собрать британский истребитель без дополнительных затрат. Всего внутри 178 пластиковых деталей, которые соберутся в модель длиной 202мм и размахом крыла 235мм. Давайте откроем коробку и рассмотрим всё поближе.
The first sprue is one of the two largest ones, and it carries various minor external and internal elements. Note special cockpit parts on the top area of the frame.
Первая рамка является одной из двух самых крупных и содержит различные внешние и внутренние детали. Обратите внимание на элементы кабины в верхней части рамки.
All parts are carefully molded, as you can see on the photo above. Eduard also provides modeler a choice between three versions of the dashboard.
Все детали аккуратно отлиты, как вы можете видеть на фото выше. Eduard также даёт моделисту выбор между тремя вариантами приборной доски.
Next sprue is more concerned with external parts. Wheels are molded in typical Eduard fashion - separate tires and rims, so it should be easier to paint those. Don't forget that there is Brassin alternative available.

Fuselage halves are placed on the separate plastic frame. Parts division is typical for Spitfire, so we can find separately molded cowling panels as well as rudder.

Inside there is almost no detalization, but it can be explained with the fact that cockpit is a separate subassembly that should be inserted into the fuselage.

Surprisingly, there are two sprues with wing parts provided in the kit. Parts division is typical here - two top halves and one bottom. Wheels wells and air intake should be assembled separately.
Удивило, что в наборе два литника с деталями для крыльев. Членение типичное - две верхних половины и одна нижняя. Ниши шасси и воздухозаборники должны быть собраны отдельно.
Flaps are molded-in, so you won't be able to drop them unless you buy separate PE set. On the photo above, you can see the main difference between two types of wings.
Закрылки влитые, так что выпустить их не выйдет или же нужно будет докупить отдельный набор травления. На фото выше вы можете видеть главное отличие между крыльями.
Transparent sprue is molded in ring shape, also a good tradition for Eduard. Molding quality is excellent here, but I would recommend to check parts before purchasing, because some might break off. Of course, you would be able to assemble open and closed cockpit versions.
Прозрачная рамка выполнена в форме кольца, что тоже традиционно для Eduard. Качество литья здесь отличное, но я бы рекомендовал проверить детали перед покупкой, так как некоторые могут и обломаться. Разумеется, вы сможете собрать как открытый, так и закрытый фонарь.
As it was mentioned in the beginning, the main difference of the Profipack - PE and masks included into standard package. PE is color-printed and would be used in the cockpit, while masks should contribute to the nice finish of transparent parts.
Как уже упоминалось в начале, главное отличие Profipack заключается в том, что в коробке идут травление и маски. Травление цветное и будет использовано для кабины, тогда как маски обеспечат аккуратный результат на фонаре.
There are also two decals sheets in the kit. Both are printed in Eduard itself, so printing quality is excellent. As you can guess, smaller sheet contains stencils, while larger one is dedicated to various symbols.
В наборе имеется два листа с декалями. Оба отпечатаны самим производителем, так что качество печати отличное. Как вы можете догадаться, маленький лист содержит "техничку", тогда как большой выделен под символы.
Profipack is also different because it features five marking options. Those are shown on one of the box sides.
Profipack также отличается тем, что в нём имеются пять вариантов окраски. Они показаны на одной из сторон коробки.
Assembly manual is printed in form of large brochure on the glossy paper. On the first page, you can see short history note about real aircraft.
Инструкция по сборке отпечатана в виде большой брошюры на глянцевой бумаге. На первой странице вы найдёте короткую историческую заметку о настоящем самолёте.
Next there is parts map and assembly process starts. In the end, you would find marking guides as well as stenciling guide.
Далее следует карта деталей, и начинается процесс сборки. В конце вы найдёте варианты окраски и инструкцию по размещению "технички".
This is another nice 1/48 Spitfire from Eduard, and I have nothing extra to add to this conclusion. Moreover, don't forget about Brassin and PE accessories for this model that should make it even more realistic. This model can be recommended to beginners as well - with some attention they can get a nice looking aircraft.

Это ещё один прекрасный Spitfire в масштабе 1/48 от компании Eduard, и мне нечего добавить к данному заключению. Более того, не стоит забывать о доступных аксессуарах Brassin и травлении, которые сделают модель ещё более реалистичной. Данная модель также может быть рекомендована начинающим, которые с должным вниманием получат аккуратный самолёт.
