Today's review is dedicated to the new 1/48 SE.5a Wolseley Viper from Eduard. This is a completely new plastic, which is released first time in form of Profipack model. Of course, inside you will find several bonuses as well as 5 marking options. As it was said in other articles, there will be also other versions of this airplane, but first we have Wolseley Viper type. Inside all frames are packed into the same plastic bag, let's open them, and check everything closer.

We can start with large grey plastic frame, which is dedicated to wings. Both are molded as one-piece elements, so you will have to add separately molded ailerons and rigging.

Next frame carries fuselage halves. Note that one has tail segment, and another is molded without it. There are also several propeller types, so two will go into your spares box.

Eduard claims that detailing of this kit can rival 1/32 analogues, and on the photo above you can see good example of careful attention to the smallest features. Moreover, newcomer also features full engine copy, which should look good after careful painting.

Transparent parts are molded on the circular frame. Molding quality is excellent, so you won't find any muted elements.

PE fret features color parts for cockpit detailing. Masks sheet should come handy for transparent parts and wheels.

There is only one decals sheet, but it is printed in Cartograf, so quality is excellent. Moreover, you will find all necessary symbols for five marking options featured in today's kit. Below you can see assembly manual, which is printed in color and features short history note on the first page.

It seems like Eduard decided to take seriously WW1 topic and release something truly interesting in 1/48 scale. As you can guess, model in such dimensions would be small, but some modelers would actually appreciate such design. Moreover, this is Profipack, so in one box you will get all necessary extras for fine detailing and nice model out-of-the-box.
